1 Quick Apply Full-time 9 hours ago Full Job Description This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to the university's systems and equipment including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Responsibilities:
Replace light bulbs and ballasts throughout campus Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment, electrical equipment, and plumbing systems Respond to urgent or emergency situations, such as floods, alarms, outages, equipment failures Complete work orders and communicate the status when resolved or an update is appropriate Coordinate, troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and install wiring, electrical components, plumbing and pip systems, fixtures, paint, HVAC systems, lock systems, compressors, generators, etc.
Reset circuit breakers, water and gas shut offs, and isolation Respond to complications with dining services kitchen equipment Inspect alarm systems Assist in snow and ice removal Perform carpentry repairs as needed Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches and job specifications Assist other trades as needed Required Skills:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Working knowledge of computers for tasks including reading email, logging hours, and entering work order information Ability to work independently, but also an excellent collaborator and team player Excellent communication skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to problem solve and creatively overcome obstacles Knowledge of a wide variety of tools and equipment Familiarity and knowledge of Fire Systems, including the ability to acknowledge, silence and reset
Qualifications:
On the job experience, Vocational School, or Associates Degree Four to five years of Maintenance experience with knowledge in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing Valid Driver's License Certified Pool Operator License required Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity and the ability to work with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.
