Nurses in this unit are expected to possess a high degree of critical thinking skills.
Previous experience is required - preferably in a cardiology area or critical care area at minimum.
Porter's doctors use cardiac catheterization to both diagnose and treat heart disease.
Nurses in Porter's Cath Lab can anticipating assisting with the following procedures:
Peripheral angiography Carotid angiography Angioplasty Stent placement Ablation Coronary atherectomy Why should you join us? Northwest Health - includes two hospital campuses as well as outpatient facilities serving Northwest Indiana.

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required, BSN preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
BLS certification must be maintained while in this position ACLS certification within 12 months of hire, must be maintained while in this position #INDNWIN.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
