Assistant Director of Development Programs

Job Description The Assistant Director of Development Programs will provide support to the development staff members in the areas of estate administration, major gifts, and National Council programs.
This person will serve a key role in providing significant administrative assistance and will need to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
Major
Responsibilities:
Manage the administration process of realized planned and estate gifts including bequests, gift annuities, trust distributions, and life insurance.
Assisting gift officers with securing information for donor visits, creating/editing donor documents as well as communications Serving as primary contact for four partner vendors (Pentera, TIAA Kaspick, FreeWill, and Charitable Registry) Provide structural and operating support for Advisory Councils including member communications, tracking of terms, and serving as Advancement liaison with administrative assistants of each college Partner with Advancement staff to follow up on leads, cultivate, and finalize major and planned gifts This role is designed to provide administrative support for all development programs, and the workflow will vary by the time of year and unpredictable demand of certain activities Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree is preferred, however, candidates with equivalent work experience will be considered Three or more years of prior experience in an administrative role Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity and the ability to work with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.
