Job Summary The Dispatcher supports the day-to-day operations of the company by efficiently scheduling and dispatching technicians to calls.
This role requires the dispatcher to think critically to ensure they are dispatching the best fit technician for the call.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
The Dispatcher reports to the Service Manager.
Dispatch all service calls to ensure maximum scheduling efficiency without compromising client satisfaction.
Manage the dispatch board to keep field personnel on the move and generating revenue.
Make every effort to compress call scheduling effectively and maximize productivity.
Notify clients ahead of time without fail if the technician is not going to arrive at their home within the scheduled time window and re-scheduling the time at the client's convenience.
Communicate with the Purchasing and Warehouse Coordinator to help arrange efficient delivery of parts to the technicians.
Every effort should be made to keep technicians on the job.
Share with CCR's the Operational Code for the day to help them better schedule incoming calls.
Strictly adhere to the Dispatching Priority Service Schedule and ensure that the right technician is sent to the right appointment.
Share responsibility to ensure that all technicians arrive at their designated appointments on time and with the right parts (if special parts were ordered/are needed).
Create purchase orders with line items for technicians in absence of the Purchasing & Warehouse Coordinator.
Coordinate and oversee Job Permitting, communicating with the techs & accounting as needed for it.
Strictly adhere to the Dispatching for Profits Priority Service Schedule, including the 10-28 dispatching system to ensure the Right technician is sent to the Right appointment.
Debrief technicians after each call and insist that all employees collect payment immediately after each job is completed.
Follow-up with the client after the technician leaves (Perform Happy Calls).
Assist in taking customer calls, scheduling customer appointments, and assisting clients in times of high call volume.
Obey the company Code of Ethics, Team Rules, and Team Philosophy Attend onsite and offsite training Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED required Associate degree preferred but not required Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours Strong customer service skills Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal) Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a professional and technical level Able to work both independently and as part of a team Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint General computer literacy and ability to learn specialized computer apps & programs Strong work ethic Must be a critical thinker - Strong English composition skills Must be able to think logically and make common sense decisions Telephone etiquette and working knowledge of email systems Ability to develop tools that create efficiencies within department Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures & Use Task Management App Job Type:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
