As the Director of Events, you will oversee the daily operations of events ensuring customer satisfaction is successfully achieved and business goals are being met.
You will also lead event team managers on all contracted projects, ensuring events are customer-focused, consistent, and innovative in the industry.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
Review manpower levels and assignments based on projected volume to ensure that staffing levels sets are appropriate Source events to event Leads and Admins after contract execution Ensures internal procedures are established and followed for the proper management Identify opportunities for cost improvement and service improvement Work amongst leadership team to strategize on maintenance, growth and development of employees and company Act as Senior Support for conferences and projects throughout the year Collaborate with all teams to deliver elite service to client, meeting all quality standards Accountable for leading, administering and planning all activities related to event management Responsible for the resolution of issues and conflict between customers and event team with the support of upper management Ensure billing; invoice accuracy; timeliness and strive to keep clients profitable Monitor client satisfaction and make sure it is in line with client goals.
Identify and take corrective action if not Manage, report, and analyze internal KPIs and prepare strategic plans and forecasts on a routine basis Develop reports surrounding Event Operations for Senior Management review Ensure that all direct reports consistently are comprised of Meeting Achievements core values Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment of trust and accountability that match the MA core values Ability to hold monthly one-on-ones with each direct report Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion Develop and lead cross-functional, efficient work organization through team building with effective employee relations, hiring, coordinating bi-annual trainings, and identify opportunities for growth Strive to improve processes and innovation Keep up to date on industry trends and regularly analyze best practices Strengthen relationships and promote regular customer contact with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and to promote additional business Performs other duties and special assignments upon request Position Requirements:
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Event Management, Hospitality, Sales, Marketing, or related field
Experience:
7
years of related meeting/event planning experience with 2 years of Leadership experience in a Supervisory role is required;3 years of CME meeting/event planning experience is preferred.
Certification(s):
CMP Preferred Functional Skills:
Excellent strategic, organizational planning and executing skills; strong event planning skils with financial planning/cost containment/service experience; strong ability to build relationships with clients and vendors to drive business goals; attention to detail and accuracy; experience in leading and reporting on Key Performance Indicators is also important.
A familiarity with ACCME Guidelines is a plus.
Technology Aptitude/Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as CVENT.
Language Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will interact with clients, vendors, opinion leaders, as well as all levels of the organization to lead and motivate to drive company goals.
Leadership/Behaviors:
Can be innovative, and able to step outside of the box and propose new solutions, while also being compliance-oriented.
Is able to motivate and support others in meeting business goals.

$65,000 - $75,000 per year; Wage is commensurate with proven expertise.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
