Maintaining the sterile environment of the operating room until the patient is brought to the recovery room Sterilizing the equipment and operating room Helping with preparing the patient for surgery Gathering, counting, and arranging the equipment and surgical tools needed during the surgery Preparing patients for the procedure Keeping the operating room sterile Passing surgical tools to the surgeon and the surgeon's assistant Assisting in retracting tissues from the surgical patient Counting all of the tools and instruments used during the surgery Applying dressings to surgical sites Disposing of needles and gauze Requirements:
CST certification via NBSTSA and may consider NCCT If graduated from an accredited surgical technology program or completion of a program provided by the US Armed Forces prior to 7/1/2009, CST certification may not be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
